Redondo Beach, CA – May 3, 2011 – Blue Echo Solutions, Inc., the manufacturer of award- winning HDMI products, is pleased to announce that it has been issued a U.S. Patent for hd EZ lock, the first Universal HDMI Lock on the market.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued U.S. Patent number 7,914,338 for hd EZ lock.

“As HDMI is expected to remain the dominant connection interface for consumer electronics, with an estimated 1.3 billion connected devices on the market by 2014, we’re very proud to receive a U.S. Patent for hd EZ lock. hd EZ lock is a product that has been well-received by the Consumer Electronics and Medical Industries, and one that solves HDMI connection problems extremely well,” said Tony Eppright, President of Blue Echo Solutions.

hd EZ lock addresses common issues with the physical HDMI connection, both by locking the HDMI cable and eliminating harmful stress on the HDMI input. hd EZ lock typically installs in less than two minutes, and can be used with most HDMI cables and HDMI Components on the market. Once installed, hd EZ lock acts as a strain-relief eliminating connection problems such as disconnected HDMI Cables, intermittent sound and/or picture, signal dropouts, and stress induced damage to HDMI Cables and HDMI Inputs. Besides being a source of major inconvenience, these issues can, and often do result in expensive service calls and warranty repair.

Along with Custom Installers and end-users, hd EZ lock customers include Audio/Video Integration companies, Medical Equipment manufacturers for use on Surgical Devices, Professional Video Processor and Digital Signage manufacturers.

The World’s First 3-D, High Definition Toothpaste

My wife recently purchased a toothpaste that I knew the world was waiting for, but I never thought would make it to production – Crest 3D White Advanced Vivid toothpaste. I know 3D is the buzz this year, with a ton of cool 3D products released for the Consumer Electronics world, as well as some cool 3D movies released for the theaters.

But I didn’t know that the 3D Technology was being applied to other industries as well. So I was amazed to find out about this new Crest 3D White Advanced toothpaste.

Maybe you think that teeth are already 3D, but by the looks of it, we’ve all been mistaken. Or at least, they haven’t looked as 3D as they could. This new toothpaste aims to change that! As it says on the back of the tube, it provides 3-dimensional whitening action, with regular brushing!

Crest 3D Vivid Toothpaste

I’m working on getting the other specs for this breakthrough toothpaste, such as:

  • What is the resolution?  Hopefully it’s at least 1920 x 1080 (1080p)
  • Does it have a refresh rate of 240 hz?
  • Do I need to wear special 3-D glasses when I brush my teeth?
  • Will it make me dizzy at times?

I’ll keep you posted if any more information comes through!  The good news is, they work great with the High Speed Blue Echo HDMI Cables!

If you’ve ever watched American Idol, no doubt you’ve often heard Simon tell someone that there’s certain performers that they should stay away from, although he usually doesn’t word it so nicely :) .  I completely agree with that.  For me, Michael Jackson was one of those performers that cannot be replicated, and [click to continue…]

It was finally time for me to retire my old cell phone and make the jump into the Android world with my new Motorola Droid.  Maybe this would be the equivalent of going from a Motorola Brick phone (except those performed very well, unlike mine) to a Motorola Star-Tac, for those of you old enough to remember how cool those were! Is your HDMI Cable rated for 120 Hz or 240 Hz?

Well, that’s actually a trick question.  The truth is, there is no such thing as a 120Hz or 240Hz HDMI Cable?  We recently wrote an article explaining the HDMI ratings, as specified by HDMI Licensing, LLC.  No where does HDMI Licensing, LLC specify an HDMI cable rating of 120Hz or 240Hz [click to continue…]

HDMI – Love it or Leave it?

I don’t think too many people will disagree with me when I say HDMI has been a mixed bag of feelings, both amongst those in the Consumer Electronics and Professional AV industries and end users alike.  The concept is great – a single cable capable of passing extremely high bandwidths taking care of high-definition video and multi-channel audio signals.  The execution is not [click to continue…]
